Polish premier death act Vader are once again here to give us a lethal dose of death metal in its finest form of art. Directly from the battlefield, this is - The Beast. 10 songs filled with aggression and violent measures. The Beast was recorded during the summer of 2004 in the Gdansk based RG studio.

Well, what to expect of a new Vader album? One thing is certain - Vader always deliver. I can't think of a bad record since the debut in 1990. I´ve come to learn over the years, and many with me, that a new Vader album is very reliable. Maybe they aren't the most creative and experimenting band in the world, but that is perhaps because they already have set the standards and directions: leaders, not followers.

This album contains songs with much of the same material as the Revelation album had, and the aggressive parts are perhaps a bit more dynamic and faster. Very characteristic for the band. When it comes to the heavier tunes, you can say that the parts that were heavy before, are now even heavier. The Beast is loaded with parts that show the excellency of this band.

All songs are very close to perfection when it comes to the way of song writing and arrangements. Tracks to mention above others must be Out Of The Dark, the At The Gates sniffing and beautiful The Sea Came In At Last, and the incredibly cool Choices. This is an album I strongly recommend.
