"Blood" is the title of Polish Vader´s latest recording or should I say recordings. "Blood" contains two recording sessions, were the first two songs are put on tape in July -03. And maybe should be considered as appetizers of what´s still to come... The other tracks are recorded in Feb./march -02. So it has been a while between the recordings, new fresh apocalyptic winds together with a little "older" tracks, wich in the case of Vader can be really hard to get on a same album. Though there are releases under different licenses all over the world with this band.

In later years, Vader has became one of my absolutely favorites out there. After their debut in the early 90´s I wasn´t to impressed, but during the years Vader have succesfully developed a very own sound. A sound that they also has on this one, wich is promissing for their next full album. On "Shape Shifting" there is the aggression combined with melody and superb drumworks from Doc. Things that have been a trade mark of Vader. The same goes for "We Wait", but this one is a bit slower and heavier, almost melancholy. The only thing that's a bit anoying about this album is that there has been a fatal layout misstake. "As The Fallen Rise"and the thrash attack "Son Of Fire" has been named in incorrect order on the folder, but I can live with that.

"Shape Shifting", "Son Of Fire", Traveler" and "Angel Of Death" are the songs that I consider as the best ones on this album. The latest of these, "Angel Of Death", is the ultra cool Thin Lizzy song, and is performed very well in a Vader shape. The choice of this cover seems to be obvious, its about war. A theme that goes hand in hand with the Vader machinery. As always superb musicians, so if Vader comes near your place, be there. Vader live are something out of the ordinary. As I said, an appeteizer...an extremely tasty one, of what is coming...
