This Italian unit's debut album, Let The Games Begin,
was released in early 2011 and almost 4 years later a few members of
mainly Elvenking, Secret Sphere and Death SS have again teamed up in
Hell In The Club to write and record something that's totally different
than what their main bands usually do. The band intertwines some different
aspects and some varied approaches in the music, containing a few moments
of very old rock influences, but still stays solid in the hard rock
vein, with an evident party mode involved on top, including not all
too serious lyrical contents from time to time throughout the record.
When I hear Italy together with any kind of heavy music,
I instantly think about folk metal and progressive or symphonic power
metal. Hell In The Club is decidedly separated from those groups of
music styles and basically performs some kind of cheerful and easygoing
hard rock with an accurate and catchy appearance. The songs are generally
captivating, even if the record loses its most massive impact towards
the end. I truly have a good time listening to the first half of the
disc, which comprises 4-5 really attractive songs which all have contagious
choruses and structures in the music that set your body in a rocking
motion. This is positively a good record with a vibrant attitude.
