Tommy: Your long awaited new album The Dark Age is gonna hit the stores soon. What can you tell us about that one - both when it comes the work that has taken place on it, the feelings about the ready result and the expectations on it? What can we as listeners expect from this release?

  • Tony: Ok, I don't know when the new album will be on the market, we are discussing in these days about the release... The listeners will expect a good and straight sound, direct in your face... more power than the other album... killer and amazing...

Tommy: The Italian scene for Italian power metal has certainly exploded the past years, and one excellent group after the other is delivering high quality metal - what is your reflection on that? How is this musical style looked upon in your homecountry? Is there really such a big scene to talk about, like in northern europe, like Germany and Sweden for example?

  • Tony: Is good for all... have a lot of good band will open the eyes of all the defenders from all the country... is not true that only German, Sweden, England have a good Band, each country have a good Band, the problem is not the Band, is the promoters of that... In Italian there aren't a lot of good promoters... An example?? we a have a lot of Band, but in the past there are no festival for italian Band in italy, only for outsider... now the situation is changed a little bit, more people believe in Italian Band and you can see that band outside from Italy...

Tommy: We swedes can't help to notice several Italian bands love for northern mythology in their lyrics and stories. What is the reason for bands to have approached this thing in songwriting, and is that a common thing in general in your country?

  • Tony: Is not general in our country... we have told about vikings, because we like the stories of the vikings... maybe a lot of Band identify the Warriors like a Viking imagine...

Tommy: After the release of your upcoming album - what are the possibilities for a more extensive tour in northern europe/Skandinavia.....how is the financial situation for this to be possible? Could we expect to see White Skull and for example 1-2 more italian bands on your label hitting the roads together, and visiting the land of the Vikings later this year?

  • Tony: Is not depends from us... we want to play everywhere... the problem is the swedish promoters, if they want some italian Bands, we are here...but when you planning a tour some promotor are not interested to keep some band from iatly, maybe the market is not really good for us in your country...
Anyway I hope to come to play in your country... I like Sweden, I went for Holidays some years ago...

Tommy: What impact has the fact that Federica DeBoni recently left the band - for personal reasons - had to the band? Was the choice for replacemant a hard one, and how is the situation now when the new singer is established in the group? Reactions so far......? He is from Argentina - but has he lived in Italy for some time before this, or did he come over for this purpose?

  • Tony: Oh the Band was not happy to loose Federica like a singer... we haven't loose her like a friend, we see and we talk everytime... we live in the same city...
Yes the situation now in the band are very good... Gus is good guy and a very good singer... he is professional in his work... The reaction of the people during our show is always positive...No, he lives in Italy since 10 years ago...

Tommy: And finally - any words of wisdom or funny facts about the nearest future
you want to share with the readers?

  • Tony: Take the new album is a real Killer...and We will come to play for you all....

That was all I had for now, Tony - the staff at metalcovenant.com wish you all the very best for the future, and we sincerely want to thank you for keeping the spirit of Metal alive!
