This will not be easy, leaving fair and objective judgements for someone or something that's close to your heart isn't a simple task. Silent Force has ever since they released Infatuator in 2001 belonged to my favourite heavy metal bands with the focus set on soaring melodies and intense riffs. The 2004 offering Worlds Apart was even better and here the band had found its formula with very well balanced well song writing and a suitable and tasteful production.

Fans of the band, rest assured; on Walk The Earth we can hear a band that not has changed this successful formula. I would classify the record as the natural follower to Walk The Earth with the best vocals you can find in the genre, diverse and incredibly melodic song writing. On top of that we have a production with a crystal clear and efficient sound with punch.

The album opens in a good way with Man & Machine and the title track, but not as fantastic as expected as the case usually is with Silent Force. This changes however drastically on the upcoming three tracks, Point Of No Return, In From The Dark and The King Of Fools is classic Silent Force when they do their thing at their best. These three aces are indeed this album's highlights and only the chorus of Running Through The Fire can join the competition of the earlier mentioned.

All in all, this is another superb record from Silent Force that almost reaches the grandeur of its predecessor. High quality melodic heavy metal from start to finish but as my expectations was insanely high I wasn't floored this time. Now you now what to do, run to your local record dealer and buy the damn record!
