Californian outfit Fueled By Fire's third full length
shows a band highly influenced by various eighties thrash metallers.
With heavy hitting riffs they target a higher state of pretty brutal
and ravaging kick-ass metal. From square one it makes your blood run
faster as they leave no bullets to spare on this ongoing massive thrash
metal experience.
The songs on this release have an even rather high level.
A most consistent work with no defined fillers, but also without any
truly chart breaking moments either. This explosive piece, like many
records in this type of music, isn't that varied as a whole and contains
straightforward continuous speedy stuff, although temporary moments,
with songs like Forsaken Deity, slow things down a bit.
I suggest a neckmuscle warm-up before you listen to Trapped
In Perdition or you will stretch them severely. Remember, you have been
warned, so be careful if you still want your head in its proper position.
A continuous crushing force through forty-five minutes of hard punching
drives, striking at all gears.
If you find this type of relentless, grinding thrash metal
attractive, I'm pretty certain that you'll have a good shot at this
release in general, as they clash at all stations and have an urge for
blasting metal assaults. A pretty good release and I hand out 6 chalices
to Fueled By Fire and their ferocious and violent efforts to trap you
in perdition.
