All right Anaal Nathrakh, we need to talk. I feel we have been drifting apart recently and I have told you this several times. What I am trying to say is that it is over between us. I hate to break it to you like this even though you should see this coming. In short, it is not me, it is you.

I remember when we first met around the time of 'Eschaton' and 'Hell is Empty…'. It was all so exciting, you brought both melodies and aggression into my life. The safe and the dangerous, the bitter and the sweet. All those late steaming nights of… intellectual stimulation. At first you were wild and aggressive just to turn calm and beautiful the next moment. In those early years you painted me pictures of postapocalyptic dystopia, of hopelessness and despair. It was a wonderful time.

Then 'Passion' came into your life. I saw why you had to do it and I even appreciated it, but then things started to move in the wrong direction. Happiness started to enter into your life, the melodies began to take the upper hand. The moments of anger and aggression became rare. The industrial moments you brought into our life to simply help you draw the pictures became more important for you each time. The dystopia became a utopia and I did not recognize you anymore.

I tried to reason with you, we even saw a therapist damn it! Even though you have now cut back on the electronic, the fragile balance between beauty and aggression, hate and despair, has forever been disturbed. I am happy that you seem to be at peace and have found happiness in your life, but it is not working out for me. I need something more from you, something I have realized will forever belong to the past. I will always cherish those special moments we had and I will always keep those memories close, but it is time we walked our separate ways.
