Oh... these fellows are pissed. Following a heavy thrash
riff, electronic anger rolls brutally into my ears, when It Isn't Me
hits off this record. Matt Zane (or was it Inzane?) screams and growls
as possessed. Aggressive attitude - I like that! Let Me Live is more
of middle tempo stoner rock. 6 Months is quite regular modern thrash.
A few good riffs here and there, as in likewise stoner oriented No Father.
Realms Of Bliss is a slower, doom-smelling ballad where Zane, with somewhat
cleaner voice, screams "I want you to die". Lord is a blend
of (today's) Overkill and Cradle of Filth. Enraptured surprises a bit,
as a neo-classical guitar solo in the middle of all industrial grinding.
Society 1 claims to be an extreme band, detached from,
and with goals to profoundly change, the society and most of what it
stands for. You see, these guys are sexual perverts and occult Satanists
- for real! Not just as an image as everybody else. According to the
frontman Zane, a couple of band members had to leave the band because
they were not true enough or even frightened of what Zane was up to.
So, if anybody dare (or care) there is a deeper message to be read in
the lyrics. Overall, it's a multi-influenced and varied record. But,
this was too much slammering noise and too little melodies for my taste.
