Judging from the name this may as well be an African sounding
jungle beat band. I honestly don't think it's a suitable name for a
melodic sleaze-oriented band. So, let's hope the music is better than
the name. I won't keep you in suspense - it is (however, to be honest
it doesn't take that much). ZuluHouse is a decent band. They have a
decent sound, decent songs and they are decent musicians. However "decent"
don't get you that far these days. There's no edge, no conviction and
no passion whatsoever in the music or performance. I can even stretch
as far as saying they sound lame, boring and even bored, irritatingly
so.
The only song where I can hear some type of energy is
in "Rendezvous" where singer Linus Flink rocks out a bit.
First track "Easy Come, Easy Go" reminds me a bit of early
Dokken in the guitar riff. Apart from this it feels like a retirement
home has more action. Please, someone give these guys a huge dose of
Red Bull. The quality is hiding in the wings, but you have to dare to
let it out!
