Criminal play some sort of standard agro thrash metal, leaning a bit to the new and modern american way with a hint of death metal to it.

So do/did Kreator, Slayer, Voi Vod, Dew-Scented, Darkane, Fear Factory, Carcass, The Haunted, (insert most thrash bands past or present here), and they do it better and more interesting on all levels, and with a lot more charisma and personality which is something that Criminal lack almost completely. Everything from the riffs to the vocals are dull and very worn out. An unexperienced listener to the genre might even have trouble understanding that the album consists of 12 separate tracks and not one single big one.

Why should you care about Criminal? I really do not know. They are a pretty respected name in the genre but I can not see why. If this is your favourite genre and the previously mentioned bands are your favourite bands perhaps you should check it out, but I do not recommend it. This is as boring as watching paint dry.

There is one riff in song 8 and one in song 11 that are pretty groovy, though.....
