Swedish grindcore band Gadget delivers 21 tracks in 30 minutes and I guess that says it all. There is no question that speed is the real keyword here.
And when the tracks are as short as they are I will keep this short as well.

Grindcore is not really something that I are that familiar with, but to me Gadget sounds like Cannibal Corpse high on speed and as if they had a hell of a hurry to get somewhere fast. Furious speed and aggression makes it sometimes close to black metal but in no way nearly as good. I have seen Gadget been compared with Nasum that is also unknown to me, but perhaps it can shed some light on how it sound for those of you that might like this kind of music.

It is hopeless for me to get anything worthwhile out of this, this kind of music feels to me like they are just pissing out aggression with no sense of melodies, I don't care how aggressive or black metal are, just as long as there are melodies I can enjoy it, that is not the case with Gadget.
There are glimpses of some nice guitar solos but when the songs are as short as they are those parts finishes before they starts and guitar harmony parts are just to forget about.

The tracks are too short for me to get a lasting impression, the exceptions are those three tracks that actually manages to clock in at over two minutes in length, then you get a chance to hear that there actually is somewhat of melodies in their music. Failure is the longest! track on the album with its enormous length of three whole minutes and that one doesnt have the furious speed as many of the other and sticks out enough so I can tell that one apart from the others.

The vocals are of the screamingly angry kind and it is almost impossible to hear what Emil Englund is trying to sing? And it wasn't until I looked at the cover that I found out that two of the tracks has lyrics in my native tongue Swedish, and then I had listened to the album at least three times without noticing.
