Wait a minute
what the fuck is this? Rammstein with
a medieval monastery theme? One of the strangest ideas of music that
I have heard anyway. The music is mostly electronic, but with some guitar
and drums in the background and organ and an annoying bagpipe in the
front. The atmosphere is a mix of church organs, monk choirs and some
mystic rock. Although the many instruments involved, it makes quite
a flat sound in the end. The song is in German and Latin. Somewhat fun
once. Actually, it is not even fun through the whole record, just for
a couple of songs, then it becomes repetitive.
Since I'm quite conservative, I pick Eifersucht as the
favourite track. It is the rockiest, most Rammstein-sounding one. If
you like German lyrics, children's choirs, bagpipe, synth and strange
progressive mixes of music - this is your thing. If you are a regular
metal head, you will just get bored. To listen to this as serious music?
No, I cannot find the reason for that. It would be fun to experience
live though. Apparently they have played at Wacken Open Air. Something
for Sweden Rock, perhaps?
