Here we have the new Nevermore disc! Or wait…sorry…it's not Nevermore. This is Shatter Messiah. A new band built around guitar player Curran Murphy (ex-Nevermore and ex-Annihilator) and singer Greg Wagner (Breaker, ex-Archetype) that sounds like a thrashier Nevermore.

Is it any good then? Well, there's nothing wrong with the performance but there's no standout songs on the album. A little more diversity in the song writing wouldn't have hurt this album at all. It's worth checking out for fans of Nevermore or Communic but nothing I will spend more time listening to. There's really not much more to write about this. It's just an OK album that passes by without much notice.

I prefer the latest Nevermore or Communic disc over this any day.
