Moistboyz claims to be so underground that they can put
all their true soul in their rock 'n' roll. They got nothing to lose
anyway. The simple production and the unmasked joy to play and provoke
cannot be denied. But to see any deeper greatness in this you first
have to be American, then you have to smoke pot and last you need to
have bad taste.
I Don't Give A Fuck Where The Eagle Flies never gets more
fun than its title. Just as Uncle Sam And Me it is simple punk rock
of the most boring kind. With a trace of blues guitar, Captain America
is far more interesting. It is not outstanding as a composition, but
it shows that there is some musical feeling in Mickey's guitar. But
White Trash brings us back where we started. Fuck You is a slow hybrid
between stoner and punk. The Year Of The Maggot could be something from
the very early Motörhead. Then follow a couple of tracks that just
pass by without a trace. That's What Rock 'n' Roll Can Do is a nice
piece of garage rock, in the same style as Alice Coopers latest retro
albums. The Stalker spreads out as a sleepy blues that seems to never
end. Charming but boring.
