There is a reason why Peter Sheithauer has named his band
Killing Machine. Although slightly updated, it is Judas Priest down
to every riff and scream. Especially the theme track are as taken directly
from Painkiller. James Rivera sounds quite like Rob Halford in the lower
tones, but in the higher tones he sounds extremely strained. Loup Garou
rather reminds of something from Screaming For Vengeance. The chorus
is repetitive over the edge of annoying. Redemption From Genocide is
another rip off, from let's say
Sad Wings Of Destiny, but a quite
nice song though.
Besides from the sudden urge to listen to the original
Judas Priest, Metalmorphosis actually does not give you anything special.
The sound is honourable, but the songs are simply not that good. Worth
to note is that David Ellefson, the legendary Megadeth bass player,
is a member of the band. Here he reunites with another former Mustaine
slave, drummer Jimmy DeGrasso.
