Since the last record, Shadows, guitarist Marcus Siepen (also in Blind Guardian) has parted ways with this band and the remaining members now, at least temporary, run this machine as a 4-piece. Sinbreed for the most part comes out with really intense power metal and quite frequently the music can even be considered speed metal and if you look further more into detail and identify each and every one of the songs with a label, I guess that some pieces of this record would probably end up as being heavy metal too.

Perhaps that was a pretty vague explanation of this album's content, but 2 things are anyway dead certain in my book; If you should have the slightest opening to really start to like what this album has to offer, you ought to fancy an often fast and direct performance by all musicians involved and also be a fan of Herbie Langhans' many times harsh vocal tones. The latter is most of the time a quite specific element in the total experience, as it is kind of different from what most singers in this type of music comes out with.

I recall that I enjoyed this unit's last effort very much, but I think that with Master Creator the boys are unable to put forward really accurate and memorable songs. Most of the songs are definitely decent or all right, yet I in some way feel that most of the record pretty much can't deliver a solid and lasting impression. I wouldn't go as far as to say that this effort is a big letdown, but frankly my expectations were definitely set higher.
