This is just slightly organised noise. A bunch of untalented
musicians hiding behind the facade of making some kind of "original"
variant of hardcore. I usually force myself through every promo at least
five times. Here I have to give up after one and a half. It is simply
impossible to listen to if you are blessed with an ear for any kind
of real music. There is no tendency to any kind of melody in Jason Ingram's
screaming. There is no trace of melody in the compositions either, for
that matter.
The guitar sound makes me think of the latest icehockey
World Championships in Riga, where people in the arenas had a pervert
joy in honking on horns through the whole games. That was very irritating
and painful to listen to, and so is Apiary. Drummer Adam Elliott is
the only one who can get away from this with some dignity - actually
he does a great job - but that matters little when he is out of phase
with the rest of the "music". What's the purpose of this?
I can't find it, and I hope no one else can either. The title of the
first track speaks for itself
