Killbox 13 by Overkill is a real display of strenght.
The thrashband that has been holding on since the early eighties has
in my opinion done four albums in the later half of the nineties that
have been a bit disapointing and thats also been far away from what
they are capable of.
But with Killbox 13 they more than restore their honour,
this album is not far from earlier masterpieces like Horrorscope (1991)
or W.F.O. (1994).
The album kicks off with the heavy as hell track Devil By The Tail and
then it just keeps on going only to increase at the end with Struck
Down, a killer track to be compared with classics like Elimination (The
Years Of Decay ´89) and Wrecking Crew (Taking Over ´87).
Moving on to the mighty second to last track Unholy that just as well
could be taken from the album W.F.O, and to then nicely round it of
with the raw I Rise.
It´s a hungry Overkill that´s delivering thrashmetal
without compromises straight through the entire album with a material
that is better than in a long time making Killbox 13 a pure pleasure
for the listener.
