The Kovenants album In Times Before Light are now out in a more modern shape. This is the re-mastered version of the bands debut, now released through the dutch label Karmageddon Media. Well, I don't think this band need a deeper presentation.

In Times Before Light is filled with the "black metal de light" that made this band a name, very polished and clean black metal with a lot of samplings and weird sounds. Nothing out of the ordinary. After some listening to this album it's obvious to me that this album have very little or nothing to offer. The drums are so light that you soon starts to wonder if there has been an accident in the mixing work. More techno than metal. Not to mention the lack of a real guitar and bass sound.

I guess that this album can only be of vital interest for the real The Kovenant fanatics.
