Fourth album from Sweden's heavy metallers Bullet and the first one on their new label Nuclear Blast. They have a solid fanbase among the youngsters in their home country and that fanbase is slowly, but steady growing. I feel this album is like a now or never, if they want to hit the somewhat bigger stages and with a bit of luck and professionalism, they might do so.

What about the new release then? Well, in short it's decent songs on a decent album from a decent band. It's straight heavy metal light without notable diversity and heavily influenced by AC/DC. I would not go as far as to say it's eleven different lyrics to one melody, but nonetheless, many songs sound quite the same. With less than forty minutes of playing time, they somehow get away with it though.

With Hofer's hoarse vocal cords, a rhythm guitar with light riffs, eighties guitar solos and a steady drum play, it doesn't break any ground and the intention never was to do so. It's sometimes catchy and the rhythm is uncomplicated, but nothing I bang my head to. I never get that feel of delight and joy when listening to Full Pull, even if parts of it are really captivating and brilliant.

This music isn't bad in any way. However, it doesn't get my full attention, but I'm pretty sure many fans will dig this album anyway. Straight and not complex heavy metal often sell copies to people looking for good and easy rhythms to follow and if they listen to this release, they will find tons of it here.
