Finn-Swede-British Hate Gallery has taken on a fierce rock 'n' roll track with punk references, somewhere in the style of Danko Jones and Backyard Babies. It is mostly fast tempo and short, but sticky tunes. Since I love simple, dirty rock 'n' roll, but for some reason hate punk, the mix is of greatest importance. Hate Gallery mostly manages to get just the right formula and not overdose the latter ingredient.

Slave New World is somewhat of an exception, where the punk part takes overhand. But that is compensated with the almost metal heaviness of the slower stoner-rocker Shedding Skin. But the favorite must be the catchy Outsiders (Hit You Like A Rocket).

I must give the guys credit for not implying that they do something groundshaking original, but live out their pure love for good old rock music. Always better to be honest and good than to try to cover your work in nice but misleading words that more than often leads to disappointment.

After 37 minutes you have got the rush you wanted. One more bonus track probably would have ruined the whole experience. More bands should know how to quit at the top and embrace the wisdom in 'less is more'.
