Pump - Against Everyone's Advice
It sounds 80's. Number of standard, boring, non-saying, "party-mood-creating"
riffs: Names, places and things that keep flashing before my eyes while listening to this are Switzerland, Aerosmith, stadiums, Pink Cream 69, highway cruising, the american flag. Enjoyable in small portions, under the influence of distilled beverages and only when already in a very, very good mood. And not too often. See

To Breakthrough
Sure
its true that Pump don't offer anything new but it is so well done I
simply cannot resist this album. Against Everyone's Advice brings me
to a happy place with its strong songs and the melodies it have, even
though they might be recycled. Apart from a few tracks including the
sleazy ballads these songs stand strong. Of course no classics needed
to be preserved for the afterworld but highly enjoyable for the nearest
future. //Thomas (6 of 10) Related links: |
