------------------------------------------------ ******************************************************* Candlemass release partyThis was an interesting evening indeed. My first going to a releaseparty and the first Candlemass contact. Candlemass started their doom-metal career in 1986 with the release of "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus". They quit 1993 while they were still on top, only to reunite in 2002. 7 studio albums released until tonight. O-Baren was pretty full at 22.30 when I arrived, lots of people and lots of drinks and smoke. They were showing the video of the upcoming single "Black Dwarf" from the new album titled "Candlemass". It was a nice video, no surprises, only a clean musicvideo. I met the Niemann brothers from symphonic metalband Therion. They were pretty drunk and nice to talk to. Also "Robban" from swedish magazine Close Up Magazine was there. Candlemass performed 4 songs from the new album and two old songs, with singer Messiah at the front they drenched O-baren in death (you who were there now what I mean), doom and heavy riffs. Messiah knew he owned the stage and wasn't afrad to show it. SETLIST Related links: |
