Finnish metal legion Burning Point comes out mainly with somewhat bombastic and speedy power metal and this new record comprises some nice stuff indeed and 3 or 4 songs are really great.

It's slightly monotonous though because they sort of stick to a certain style for the most part and even if I now surely overstate my point with this specific narrow partition, the rather new singer Nitte Valo pretty much ends up in 2 regions; the first being her, so to speak, normal voice and the second being a pretty strident one in the faster parts which maybe becomes a little bit too much if you would listen to the album a repeated number of times like I've done.

The Blaze is in the end a pretty good record with a few fine melodies in the choruses, a solid drive through the verses and a quite powerful appearance overall.
