This sounds exactly like you would expect, considering
the persons involved in the band: a good deal of Rammstein mixed with
some, but surprisingly few, Pain elements. Practically all songs on
the album could have fitted on one of Rammstein's latest releases but
wouldn't have made much fuzz there. It's never straight up bad, but
it only works when uptempo and catchy, otherwise it is a bit boring,
like Rammstein's slow, dark and melancholic songs.
A handful of good and catchy songs (Skills In Pills, Fish
On, Cowboy) are fighting for attention with some really questionable
ones (Fat, Children Of The Sun, Home Sweet Home, That's My Heart) and
it never lifts to great heights. Enjoyable as a whole at the end of
the day, but a minor disappointment. The project looked so much better
on the drawing board.
