These Bostonians got me hooked on their progressive space rock-influenced black metal with their debut 'Desolate Unknown'. Another two years worth of experience shows a more mature band with more confidence in their songwriting skills on this sophomore disc 'In Conjuration'.

Even though the song structure and riffs surpass the debut, I do miss the rougher production of 'Desolate Unknown' which was instrumental for that albums unique atmosphere. Despite not recapturing that mind-expanding mood, 'In Conjuration' is still a worthy follow-up due to its strong well-flowing compositions.
