Ross Friedman (ex-Manowar, Death Dealer, The Dictators)
may be a renowned and skilled guitarist but if this is what he manages
to come up with in the song writing area, he still has a lot to work
on. This album alternates between classic muscle metal and plain rock
with punk fragments and it's a mix that does not work well in this particular
case, and with very, very few carrying elements such as hooks and refrains
it gives an amateurish and boring impression.
There are the occasional highlight to be found here in
terms of a riff or a verse but they are very scarce and when the whole
foundation is built on second and third class riffs and arrangements,
it all falls totally flat. A combination of worn out riffs with no edges,
weak vocals and boring or even plain bad choruses don't make many people
especially happy.
