The band Re:aktor are from Portugal, but there is also a possibility that they are from outer space due to the press release: - "Like an invasion from outer space...." Well, well. Re:aktor goes under the banner of Nuclear blast, and when they arent invading planets all round our solarsystem, they also make music! This is the result, the bands first album "Zero Order".

"Zero order" contains high-tech sounds from the start to the end, and in between of that there can be heard influences from bands such as Fear Factory, Kovenant, Linkin Park, Pantera ( some heavy riffing!). There are very much clichees as "machinery of the future..revolution" hm..After some listenings I realise that this aint my cup of tea. Far to much electronic vierd sounds. A varied voice from RAD, sometimes great when he actually sings darker and with more power. But also sometimes very anonymous, I mean refrains a´la Nu-metal and the parts with distorted singings/samples..its just to much. Some cool riffs here and there that are really good, like in "My Own Fear", and the beginning of "Damage Zone".

These guys are good musicians, no doubts about that. But my advise would be to concentrate more on the "clean metal-parts", wich is the best with this album. But all in all its just to much sounds and stuff for me, excellent singing sometimes, great riffings sometimes. Can also mention the sixth and eight song "Sektor X-lr8" (?!?!) & "Impact" two good ones, mainly because heavy riffings, dark vocals and the thing that the "space machinery" has taken a coffe brake..

This music has been made before, and better (se similar artists). But if the space stuff could stand away for the real metal-work, I think their next album could be really interesting..But at the mean time, this is proberbly only for the ones who are into "new metal" with a touch of industrial, cyber/space sound..
