T-maze is a Swedish band from the town Örebro and according to themselves they play heavy 70's hard rock with some stoner influences, and I couldn't have said it better myself because that is exactly how they sound.

It starts heavy and dooming with lot of early days Black Sabbath vibes with the first of the two tracks, not as dark or heavy but you can hear within seconds where they have gathered much of their influences. With a distinguished bass sound the track is slowly moving forward with not much of shifting in the music. It has a bit of a slower stoner groove to it and comes out as an ok track, nothing that makes me raise my eyebrows that high but it makes good listening.

Second track Small Wounder gets a bit better. With a muddy sound and the key tuned down low, the track moves along with a groove that makes me think of the band Abramis Brama, still not much of speed but it makes your head nod. When the track finally explodes they create a wonderful little piece of low down and dirty groove once again with lots of Sabbath influences but also with the rough feeling you can get from a band like Corrosion Of Conformity.

T-maze is four guys capable of handling their instruments even if it doesn't sound as tight as it ought to for this type of music. Hard to make a fair judgement on a band with only two songs, but with the later of the two they show some glimpses of really good quality and it will be fun to follow T-maze and see where they will go from here.
