Frankfurt's nobility thrashers Tankard, quench your thirst for high octane alcoholic indulgence this season with their latest sixth sense, sex pack craving. Beyond the pubyard, this beast case scenario is replete with all facets of Tankard, spilling over with clever wit, and bowels of shipshape deposition.

Surprisingly, the echoes of fervour for beer, are not as persistent, as in most previous potations; nonetheless, the music is still engaging and raging. In some respects, Thirst recalls the best of Tankard's chemical invasion upon the senses, with melodic riffs reminiscent of The Tankard, the stone cold sober tantrums of Two-Faced, and all the side effects of The Morning After.

Lyrically, Gerre and his band of porno pirates, have stepped up to the cause for conflict. 'Octane Warriors' fuels the fire with commentary on the absurd war for oil. The doomsday news of 'Echoes Of Fear 'recoils the essence of 'Forsaken World' and 'Don't Panic' and their political drollery. Thankfully, these shit-faced, fat, ugly, and very much alive, thrash 'till death dedicates, realize the absurdity and desperation of fear based illusions, and would rather eat, drink, and be merry, even if tomorrow they die with a beer in their hands.

An insightful song like 'Hyperthermia' is bathed in body humours. This song aptly describes the absurdity of taking a Finnish steam bath in sub-arctic temperatures. 'Zodiac Man' infests with supranatural alien inclinations. 'G.A.L.O.W.' (Gods And Legends Of War) embraces mythological comparisons. 'Deposit Pirates' vivifies the adulteration of the traitor - Cap'n Jack Sparrow, elucidating the real life of those sailing under The Jolly Roger, reviled, and running wild.

The sinister sneer of 'When Daddy Comes To Play' is personified by a chorus of children, similar to U.D.O.'s 'They Want War'. Of course, the ludicrous content of 'Myevilfart' has the redolent resonation of these gas attendants, belching, and behaving with pure flatulence. Recall: 'Hot Dog Inferno' or 'Tankard Roach Motel'. 'Sexy Feet Under' is the ultimate foot fetish fantasy fulfilled. Al Bundy never had it this good!

The Kings Of Beer resound with an unslaked quest for a liquid nation. They demonstrate their lust to bring back the 80's. This they do in spirit and strength. 'Stay Thirsty' dazes and confuses. This libation exemplifies that beauty is held in the eye of the beheader. Through beer goggles, life is seen as innocent and more vivid. The positive close encounter Bavarian cheer which ends the album is totally F.U.N.

Once again, without fail, The Heavy Metal Vanguard Of Tankard serve up more incredible loudness on their cold draft of alcoholic elegance. Their avid, unquenched, total addiction to all things mettle is why, for over 25 years they have delivered pure blood, guts, and rock 'n' roll, showing no rundown quarter. These dinosaurs will never become extinct!

For those Tankard mindwild enthusiasts, like myself, seeking the true meaning of life, I recommend the limited edition digibook which also includes a DVD documentary from The Bang Your Head Festival, as well as a video for 'Stay Thirsty'. The album will also be available on vinyl, for all you old-school screaming victims and maniac forces.
