The Audio Injected Soul marks the second release from the Danes in Mnemic. Their style of metal is being promoted as Fusion Future Metal, and that gives at least me the idea of some jazz inspired electronic heavy metal. But I find it more to be simply more of a thrash/melodic death hybrid with electronic elements. It is a mix of Fear Factory with some monotonous beats and the futuristic electronic elements blended with melodic death metal in the vain of In Flames with catchy choruses. Also throw in a bit of technical death like thrash from Swedish band Darkane, and, voila, there you got the music from the five angry Danes in Mnemic.

No matter what their music is called or sounds like, it works pretty good and they have set a high standard on the songs. Although it is hard to pick out any track that stand apart from the other. And by the later half of the album the tracks tends to be a bit anonymous as it turns to this gray mass, it is well done but it sounds too much of the same after a while. But it is a well sounding gray mass, it is good but not enough as it lacks of diversity among the tracks to come out as anything new or groundbreaking. Best track of the album, and this might not be seen as good, is the cover version of Wild Boys. The classic pop track originally done by Duran Duran in the eighties. It is not bad that their version is a great one, but I find a bit boring when a cover is better than their own material.

The production is really well done made crystal clear with a sharp edge and a heavy and compact sound. Perhaps it is a result of Mnemic being the first band in the world recording an album using Binaural Techniques. Which is some of kind 3 dimensional sound, but no matter the recording progress the songs remains the same. Overall it is good songs that they have created but nevertheless they lack of that sharp edge making them stand out and not being something we've heard before.
