Paragon - Steelbound
Wow! Paragon! The ever non-stopping bubbling metal-cauldron has once again proven it's worth and the outcome this time is German Paragon's Steelbound. Here we have a vocalist who sings like a mix between Piet Sielck, Chris Boltendahl and Biff Byfford and a music style that's got its roots mainly in the Grave Digger-, Sinner- and Judas Priest-department with great Iron Savior- resembling choruses. This all adds up to the fact that Paragon delivers a very mature power metal completely uncorrupted by contemporary metal fashions with great authority and pondus! This is a real metal-delicacy that with it's great twin guitars, hammering double bass drums and soaring vocals will take your listening to new heights. Not all the tracks are composed in a mach 2-speed and there are some slow to mid-tempo as well but don't you worry a single second about this 'cause it doesn't by any means whatsoever get too slow or sluggish. Steelbound's got more than enough energy and speed to keep you headbangin' for hours after the stereo's got silent and you just be careful before it sweeps you away and your head gets removed from your neck in the process!
