This is a very sad moment for me. It's the first and the last time I'm writing a White Skull review while Federica Sister is in the band.
Her leaving White Skull can to me only be described as something between disaster and ruin. I'm sure the new singer will take her place with the honours but the wounds in my soul will be hard to heal.

But what do I think of Public Glory, Secret Agony? Absolutely fantastic and other superlatives come to mind in an instant. This album is a really great one and even one step better than their previous release, Tales From the North and this time White Skull has left the Northern Mythology and instead travelled to the Roman Empire. Since I gotta consider myself as one of the greatest White Skull fans out there I feel obligated to say that this album is out of this world. It's very well produced, fast and bombastic and just full of extremely outstanding tracks.

Federica's very special voice gives White Skull such a very unique sound and her very original pronunciations of some words only adds more individuality and can only be described as amazingly great! The guitars are of course worth mentioning too. They are very energetic, fast, pounding and this occurs in one track after another and their speed, power and force in intros, solos, verses and interludes just blow me away.

I just won't go on mentioning track after track 'cause that would be just like listening 'em all again. You're just gonna have to trust me when I say they all rock. Even the presence of a ballad doesn't affect my high praise of Public Glory. If you're looking for awesome power metal with great individuality White Skull should be right up your alley and you have to check out Tales From The North too. For myself and us other fans I can only hope that their upcoming album will be at least on the same level as this one and that the new singer will rise to the occasion.

So until then the glory stays public and I sincerely hope that there's no agony, however so secret, in the future.
