Wizard are back, delivering another round of warmongering men in armour and weapons made of various metals. Their previous efforts have been, if not extraordinary, so at least very good with some nice cliché filled metal hymns and thundering riffing. Unfortunatly, it seems like they ran out of ideas after Odin (2002) and did not get it together in time for the deadline for this new album.

There are a couple of songs I can not help to love, which are the charming Call Of The Wild with a classic and catchy chorus and the similar Metal, but for the most of it, it's pretty lame and tired this time. Half uptempo, half more mid tempo pumping and throughout the album some nice, to not say good, riffing but it is very edgeless and without any charisma or color. Half hearted and a lot of repetition, which is ok if it's done better than before but here they only manage to deliver weaker versions of previous efforts.

The production is also very weak and dry and that just adds to the sorry and indifferent impression I get when listening to this. Too bad, since I really liked the two previous releases from the band.
