Jeff Waters and his crew are back for their 14th release and they continue their long-time written path with distinct chopping and special characteristic thrash metal, which in fact leaves a few openings to pretty traditional heavy metal and even ballads. Annihilator feels kind of rejuvenated at the moment and I believe more and more people check out this band within each record released.

It's somewhat inventive within their rather limited range, so it's still Annihilator in full. They interweave cool thrusting guitarplays, heavy strong rhythms to colorful and varied thrash melodies without being too repetitive. It's attacking, intense and powerful without designated brutality and it indicates both playfulness and determination from the Canadians.

Feast wasn't a record that caught my full attention at first, but it came stronger within each repeated spin. We are presented a diverse record with the seven minute track Fight The World, which contains a sneaky deceptive acoustic intro followed by a high-powered and furious speed part, before turning into a kind of typical speedier song eventually. Also contributing to this matter are the love ballad Perfect Angel Eyes and Wrapped. The latter with a guest appearance featuring Danko Jones, who's nailing his mark deep within the track.

I can listen to this release several times in a row without getting bored. I enjoy No Way Out, No Surrender and Fight The World because they basically remind me of Waters' stage presence and of what Annihilator is about. One Falls, Two Rise however stands out as Feast's definite highlight, with its beautiful intro, accurate killer approach and heavy appearance. 7 chalices to one of Annihilator's, in my opinion, better albums.
