Ok, this demo was recorded way back in 2006. I hope the
band has progressed a bit since then. Well, I should start by saying
I'm quite picky when it comes to sleaze/glam bands. They have to be
something extra to get my attention. Great riffs, fat sound, great singer
and interesting songs. I'm afraid Stockholm based Sleaze/glamsters Cut
Lips missed the mark on most parts. The sound is pretty good, but the
singer sounds like a watered down Vince Neil meets Axl Rose, meaning
too much squealing for me.
The songs are decent for the genre, but they sound just
like a million other bands in the same genre. No personality whatsoever.
They have a few cool riffs here and there, like in "Bad Disease"
but they are few and far between. In "Shakedown" the singer
gets downright annoying with his high pitch squeaks. Not my type of
singer at all, I'm afraid. To be honest, this is not the type or sound,
songs or band that gets my mojo working at all.
