Lord K. Philipson is not a man that is lost for words when it comes to describing music he's involved with: masterpiece is the most common one. Granted, the man sure has reasons to back this statement being thoroughly involved in the metal scene in a variety of bands. But the strongest reason for him to have this attitude is the new monumental record by The Project Hate. It's in my opinion the best the band has done as yet.

Leaving Vic Records and not receiving any recognition (at first) from labels, Philipson launched a truly remarkable fund-raising appealing straight to the bands fans to finance the record. And the money came, and subsequently went back as French label Season Of Mist signed the band. The donations are a very good example of just how dedicated people are to this band.

The Project Hate is not a non-intensive band to begin with, but the new material is just oozing with rage, hate, aggression taken to new levels of intensity. Perhaps inspired by the frustration the band felt standing without a backing label, perhaps just a natural progression, Bleeding The New Apocalypse is a truly monumentally heavy, epic record packed with such a tsunami of musical ideas. The mass of music is very big on this one, with songs often running well over 10 minutes - which is just fine considering that there is very little, if any, dead space on the record.

The mix between the darkness in the music, that at times is truly deeply eerie and the earsplitting female vocals delivered by newly recruited Ruby Roque and Jörgen Sanströms awesome growl has me, well just awed. And that is saying something since the female singers that the band have employed were not by a long shot bad, it's just that Roque has such a honed voice which leaves nothing to be desired.

Performancewise well, let's just say that when you get Tobben Gustafsson on drums, you know you're going to get a top-notch performance not just the speed-side of things, but the solid groove and that rare ability that's somewhat diffusely called playing for the song. And let me tell you, the songs on this one are epic in proportion, ingenious and totally original. The Project Hate has a variety of elements in the music that you will get from other bands, but there is not one band to combine these elements in the way it's done here.

If you have heard this band before, you'll know what to expect, and this time around you'll get such a delivery that's going to leave you reeling, feeling slightly nauseous by just how good this is. Fact.
