The stringbenders and skinbashers in Steel Warrior hail from the noble lands of Brazil, and this is their second fullength album so far, and the third is under production as we speak. This is a very charming album from guys that certainly know how to build up a good metalsong from simple assets, and this makes my metal heart feel good and at home. Almost all songs are built on a galopping rhythm, a fat guitarriff, a twinguitar harmony, and catchy singalong refrains.

This is hard to compare to any existing band, but if some should be mentioned there might be Wizard and Wolf, and than especially when it comes to having the same honest, sincere and non-pretensious approach to Metal music. In every song there are also musical segments that have strong resemblence of Iron Maiden from their 2 first albums - a riff or a leadguitar. The sound is also similar to what Maiden had on Killers, and has a nostalgic, recognizable but yet personal touch to it.
The production could of course be fatter and better, but it fits very good to it as it is, with it's roughness and charming simplicity.

There are not a single bad song on this album, but instead it's a very even and good album with no real bottoms, but only good peaks. These guys' mixture of nice melodies, twin guitars and fat riffs accompanied by pounding drums makes at least me very interested and yearn for more.
This will be highly interesting to follow in the future.
